Quiet neighbourhood, all the cottages on the street were built in the 1820s. The nearest pub is the King’s arm, on the corner of Arun St and Tarrant St.
The nearest supermarket is Larkin Groceries on Tarrant Street, which is a 3min walk from the cottage. You should be able to find the basics there. If you would like a more comprehensive supermarket, head for the Co-Op on Queen St., which is a 8min walk.
Alternatively, Pallant of Arundel (5min walk) is a lovely independent deli for anti-pasto, cheese, deli meats etc and there is a butchers next door that sells good quality meat.
If you want to spoil yourself with a bottle of English sparkling, Digby’s is the place to go to. We recommend their 2014 Vintage Reserve Brut.
Relax with a pint at the traditional English pub down the road from the cottage at the KIng’s Arms., or head to the Red Lion for some live music in the evening.
Juniper on Tarrant Street (3min walk) has our vote for the best coffee and sandwich, although Motte and Bailey cafe (5min walk) does a mean breakfast.
As this is an 18th century cottage, the stairs are steep and not suitable for people with mobility issues.
